July 9, 2026 – The institutional and commercial mission involving Flyon Aero, an Italian center of excellence for aviation training certified under ENAC/EASA Part-147, which took place in Sri Lanka, Malaysia, and Bangladesh, concluded in recent days.
The mission, which took place between late June and early July, provided an important opportunity for dialogue with government institutions, civil aviation authorities, Italian diplomatic representatives, and industry partners, confirming the growing interest in aviation training models that comply with European EASA Part-66 standards and are geared toward developing highly qualified skills.
Sri Lanka
Colombo, Sri Lanka (June 27, 2026) – LPAE Graduation Ceremony and Partnership Launch Event
The mission began in Sri Lanka, where Flyon Aero CEO Enrico Foresto attended as Guest of Honor at the Graduation Ceremony and Partnership Launch Event organized by Lanka Pacific Aviation and Engineering (LPAE). During the ceremony, which was attended by Dr. Alberto Arcidiacono (Deputy Head of Mission – Italian Embassy in Colombo), diplomas were awarded to students who successfully completed the aircraft
maintenance technician training program developed as part of the partnership between Flyon Aero and LPAE—a collaboration that is now also operational in Kenya through a second training center and has become a model of international cooperation for the dissemination of European aviation training standards. The event also brought together representatives from the aviation and technology industries to discuss the sector’s development prospects and key technological innovations, with the participation of the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka, which reaffirmed the strategic value of international partnerships in supporting the growth of the national aviation industry and the development of professional skills.
Malaysia
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (June 29–30, 2026) – Business Mission to Malaysia
The delegation then traveled to Kuala Lumpur to participate in the Business Mission to Malaysia, organized by ICE Agenzia in collaboration with the Italian Embassy in Malaysia and Confindustria.
The initiative provided an important opportunity for Italian companies and Malaysian stakeholders to exchange ideas, fostering new opportunities for collaboration in the advanced manufacturing and high-tech sectors through plenary sessions, institutional meetings, and B2B matchmaking sessions.
On June 30, the mission continued with visits to some of the country’s major industrial sites. Among these, the visit to the hangar of Airlab Subang—a strategic partner of Flyon Aero for the training of aircraft maintenance technicians—was of particular significance. The visit, which took place in the presence of Dr. Adele Di Lullo, provided a further opportunity to strengthen the industrial partnership between Flyon Aero and Airlab Subang.
Bangladesh
Bangladesh (July 2, 2026) – Institutional Dialogue on the Development of Aviation Training
The mission concluded in Dhaka with a series of institutional meetings focused on the development of technical aviation training in Bangladesh. The Flyon Aero delegation received valuable support from the Italian Embassy in Dhaka, particularly from Ambassador Antonio Alessandro and Dr. Donatella Di Virgilio. During the meetings at the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, attended by Minister Afroza Khanam, and subsequently at the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB), it became clear that Bangladeshi institutions have a strong interest in developing training programs that comply with European EASA Part-66 standards. It was also highlighted that over 58% of the country’s population is under 30 years of age—a factor that, combined with the growing global demand for certified maintenance technicians, makes Bangladesh one of the most promising contexts for future international cooperation initiatives in the field of aviation training.
The mission to South Asia confirms Flyon Aero’s path toward internationalization and the consolidation of
institutional and industrial relationships developed in partner countries, with the goal of promoting echnical training programs of excellence, fostering the development of local skills, and contributing to the sustainable growth of the international aviation sector.
